Premier League Women's officials announced on February 15 that the boards of the Premier League Women's Football League and Women's Championship have agreed to Sir Ratcliffe's successful acquisition of Manchester United Women's Football Team, following confirmation from the FA.

Earlier, Premier League officials also confirmed that the Premier League board has approved the $300 million acquisition and subsequent investment after completing owner and board tests. The EFL is currently waiting for the deal to be finalized.

Manchester United officials announced at the end of December last year that the Inglis Group, led by Jim Ratcliffe, had successfully acquired a 25% stake in the club and would take over the full soccer business of Manchester United. He said the price of this acquisition was about 1.3 billion pounds.
