While playing for Club America, Zhang Ouying attached herself to her husband, Eddie. She then married and had children. After retirement, Zhang Ouying has been coaching in the United States. During this period, Zhang Ouying organized many youth soccer matches between China and the United States. Unfortunately, in 2018, Zhang Ouying suffered from lung cancer.December 1, 2018 was the last day of Zhang Ouying's life. Husband Eddie changed into Zhang Ouying's national team's No. 7 jersey. Before her death, Zhang Ouying still could not let go of the Chinese women's soccer team. In the end, Zhang Ouying lay on the hospital bed and died quietly with regrets!
