On December 4, the national soccer team will regroup in Shanghai on December 17 before heading to the United Arab Emirates for training, according to Beijing Youth Daily.
According to the plan, the Chinese team will gather again in Shanghai on the 17th of this month, and then travel to Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates for training in preparation for the upcoming Asian Cup tournament which will start on January 12 next year.
As the only player staying in the country, Wu Shaocong will probably miss the national team's training activities because his Youth United team still has a match duty on December 24th, and he will only be able to travel to the UAE after December 25th at the earliest to join up with the national team.
The 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar will be held from January 12 to February 10, 2024, and the national football team will be divided into Group A along with hosts Qatar, Tajikistan and Lebanon.
