Recently, soccer punditry heavyweights Souness and Neville have expressed high praise for young player Cole Palmer and predicted that he could be a new target for Real Madrid. Souness said that Palmer has already made a name for himself in the Premier League with his superb technique, excellent athleticism and great presence of mind. He believes that if Palmer can sustain his current level of play, it would not be surprising to see Real Madrid offer £150 million for Palmer when they come knocking next summer. After all, Chelsea only paid £40 million for Palmer and his potential goes far beyond that.

Neville was also shocked by Palmer's performance. He believes that Palmer is not far from becoming the best player in the Premier League. Neville was deeply surprised by Palmer's consistently excellent performances last season, and even compared Palmer to Salah from years ago, but said that Palmer's performances were much more consistent and long-lasting. Neville also noted with regret that it was ridiculous that Palmer did not represent England at the Euros in the summer. What's even more baffling to him is the fact that City let go of such a player with unlimited potential when they have been doing so well in the transfer market.

The comments of the two commentators have certainly added more expectation and interest to Palmer's career. The young player, who is only 22 years old, is gradually becoming a rising star in the soccer world with his outstanding performance and clear mind. It will be interesting to see if he can become a new target for Real Madrid in the future, or if he can go further in the Premier League.
