Pedro began playing for the first team in the 2008-09 season, making 14 league appearances, and he played in the 2009 UEFA Champions League final as a substitute for Iniesta. In the 09/10 season, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Pedro was officially a first team player, and on August 16, 2009, Pedro scored his first competitive first team goal in the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao, helping the team to a 2-1 victory. Pedro was also awarded a new contract by Barcelona in the same month, for a fee of 75 million euros. On August 20, 2015, Pedro joined English Premier League club Chelsea for €30 million. During his time with the club, he helped the team win the English Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League once each.
On August 25, 2020, Serie A club Roma signed Pedro for three years
On August 19, 2021, Pedro joined Lazio, wearing the number 9 shirt. This was the first player deal between the two teams since Perone moved from Lazio to Roma in 1981.
