The Chinese men's Asian Games team reportedly beat the Indian U23 team 5-1 in the first round of Group A of the men's soccer group stage of the Asian Games on Sept. 19th. After the match, sports reporter Ma Dexing interviewed Chinese men's Asian Games team head coach Djurdjevic. In the interview, the head coach talked about his views on young players.
Djurdjevic pointed out: there is a part of the players who have the ability to play at the level of the national team, we have 3 overage players. When I say young players, in my personal opinion, there is a difference in the definition of young players between China and Europe. They are no longer young, you see in Europe, young players are usually seventeen or eighteen years old, while China considers twenty-two or twenty-three years old to still be a young player, and these players have actually shown a level of ability that is suitable for the national team.
