Camp Nou

Ballpark Renovation

Progress of the project

It went well and it is expected that Barcelona could return to the Camp Nou on February 2, 2025 local time.

Western media say the Camp Nou stadium renovation project is progressing in an orderly manner, although a specific reopening date has not yet been set. Last Monday, Barcelona vice president Elena Forte and Espanyol Barcelona director of operations Joan Centelles revealed at a press conference that the team could return to the Nou Camp for the Feb. 2 match against Alaves.

Significant progress has been made on several aspects of the stadium renovation project. Foundation work on the parking garage level and formwork for the third-level grandstand structure are under way. The interior work of the stadium has begun to show results, with the waterproofing of the first and second tier bleachers almost complete.

According to the latest pictures shared by some social media users, the installation of seats in the North Stand has begun. Many of the seat brackets are already in place and some seats have even been installed. These developments show that the stadium renovation project is moving forward as planned, although there is still work to be done.
