Mancini played for Bologna (1981-1982), Sampdoria (1982-1997), Lazio (1997-2000) and Leicester City (2001) during his time as a player, with the field position of striker.
He captained Sampdoria for a long time and is considered one of the most outstanding strikers in the team's history.
