Chelsea star Gala commented on the pressure and outside expectations of the Manchester United managerial position in a recent media interview. He believes that the pressure faced by the United manager is immense and almost no coach can withstand it. Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have experienced a number of managers who have failed to win the Premier League title, which is proof that the pressure and expectations of the position are a great challenge for anyone.
Gala specifically mentioned the current situation of Manchester United under Ten Hagar. He pointed out that United were defeated 0-3 at home against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, and the body language of the players revealed that they had lost the spirit and soul of the team. Despite the draw against Villa, Gala thinks it is obvious that the players are not happy under Ten Hagar.
Gala further stated that the players don't seem to be playing for Ten Hagar anymore but should at least be playing for the club and the fans. Looking at the performance in each game, he believes that the players do not have a good relationship with the manager. The players may be focused at the start of the game but once they concede a goal, they quickly become lax and this mentality is not good.
Finally, Gala believes the players are currently just waiting for Ten Hagar to be sacked. Despite their good away record against Villa, they still only have one point from two games after losing at home to Tottenham Hotspur, which is not enough. Overall, Gala is concerned about the current state of affairs at United and believes that Temhag faces a huge challenge.
