Renowned soccer transfer expert Romano has revealed in his column that Liverpool Football Club has moved to prepare a new contract for defender Konate with a more lucrative package.
Romano noted, "Following the successful renewal of Kwaanza's contract, Liverpool have started the negotiation process with Konate for a new contract." He further clarified, "Konate is having a great time at Liverpool and his performances are fully recognized by manager Sloter, so the current situation looks very positive."
Romano also revealed that "Liverpool are ready to offer Konate a significant contract which will include a pay rise, which is certainly good news for Konate."
He added, "Under the new management, Liverpool want to avoid another situation like the contract delays of core players like Salah, Van Dyke and Arnold. They want to resolve the contractual issues of their key players as soon as possible, and as such, the negotiations for a new contract with Konate is one of the matters they are actively dealing with."
