According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma FC are interested in bringing in Nottingham Forest's wing-back Ena to ease the current manpower crunch on the sidelines.
Roma have suffered a series of personnel challenges in the recent past. Salmacres is out with an injury, while Zalewski is facing a contract extension dilemma, while newcomer Sule has yet to fully adapt to the team's tactical system, and other new additions are still in the process of integrating into the Serie A league. These factors have combined to leave Roma short-handed at wing-back.
Ena was a key player for Juric when he coached Torino, and is known for his excellent speed and strong attacking ability. He is capable of playing as a wingback in the 352 formation, which is undoubtedly an ideal addition for Roma. In addition, Ena's contract is set to expire in June next year, which makes it possible for Roma to face fewer transfer fee hurdles in bringing him in.
Notably, Roma's Zalewski's contract is also set to expire in the same month. Considering that both sides are valued at between €12 and €15 million, there is speculation in the media that Roma and Nottingham Forest may engage in a player swap to address their respective needs.
