Manchester United star Andy Cole gave his views on the form of Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford in a recent interview. He said that despite some criticism of Rashford's performances in recent seasons, he has never doubted the young striker's ability and hopes that Rashford will not have too many regrets when looking back on his career.

Andy Cole says: "Rashford can be a variable player. In the first half against Porto, for example, I thought he was the best player in the United team. He played very well, contributed an assist and a goal and was very active, which is what he is good at."

"Rashford also had a couple of good runs and performances against Villa. However, on the other hand, he was sometimes sent off for some silly fouls, in which case the manager made the right decision in choosing to replace him, in the overall interest of the team."

Andy Cole has expressed surprise at former Chelsea striker Hasselbaink's criticism of Marcus Rashford last week. Hasselbaink had said that he thought playing well did not seem to be Rashford's priority. Andy Cole said, "I was surprised to hear Hasselbaink say that because he has worked for England and he would only make that comment if he had actually seen the situation first hand."

Andy Cole concluded by expressing his expectations for Rashford: "I'm not quite sure exactly what Rashford is thinking right now, but I hope that when he looks back on his career in the future, he will be satisfied and proud, and not leave too many regrets. Because every step now is shaping his future and career."
