On the afternoon of August 30, the Chinese men's football team released the latest training list.
For the just announced training list of the national men's soccer team, honestly, some people feel confused, it seems that the national team head coach Jankovic has not examined the Chinese Super League games at all, and his understanding of the Chinese Super League players is extremely limited, and he has selected some players who should not be selected, but not selected some players who should be selected. If Jankovic takes this national team squad to the upcoming 36 World Cup qualifiers, I'm afraid the outlook is not optimistic.
In total, Jankovic has selected 24 international players this time around. This new international squad is basically unchanged from the June training list, with the only real new faces being naturalized player Li Ke and Wu Xi, who missed the last edition due to injury. It's as if Jankovic didn't even watch the Chinese Super League during this period of time and directly copied the training list from the previous edition, which is a bit of a closed-door approach.
The inclusion of at least six players in this new international roster is completely unconvincing. The inclusion of these six unqualified international players has also been widely criticized by the media and fans. These six are: Sun Guowen, Zhang Linmiao, Wang Shenchao, Xu Xin, Wang Ziming and Li Lei. Sun Guowen can't even play for Luneng at the moment; Zhang Linlian, Wang Shenchao and Xu Xin are the three players from Shanghai Hong Kong. They have been in poor form lately and are not eligible for the national soccer team at all; Wang Ziming is embarrassing and is also a chicken-shit player at Beijing Guoan; and although Li Lei's ability is unquestionable, he has just recovered from an injury. Obviously, it's not the right time to recruit him into the national soccer team.
Aside from the six unqualified international players mentioned above who should be discarded by Jankovic, this national soccer team selection also misses out on a couple of useful Chinese Super League players. With their current ability and form, they are fully qualified to be selected for the new national soccer training roster. The six biggest national team leftovers are Li Tixiang, Dai Weijun, Buy Jiang, Tan Long, Zhang Xunzhe, and Wei Shihao.
Li Tixiang, Dai Weijun and Baiti Jiang are all top-class Chinese midfielders. They have comprehensive ability all-round. They are not only good at intercepting and stealing, but also have the attributes and creativity to attack up front. For the strikers of the national football team, Tan Long and Wei Shihao are useful additions, the two of them not only have explosive power and creativity in front of the goal, but also good at grasping the goal scoring opportunities in front of the goal. In particular, Zhang Xizhe, who recently broke out at Guoan, is the national team's rarest midfield commander. He is accurate with his feet and has been touted as the local De Bruyne. It's a wonder that such a midfield soul was overlooked by Jankovic.
If the six unqualified national team members in this edition of the training list of the national team are removed, and six positive and outstanding performance of the national football relics are introduced, then this list will become very perfect, and the outside world's criticism will be much less. Unfortunately, there are no ifs in Chinese soccer.
