
Liu Jun, the current head of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and chairman of the Chinese Super League (CSL), was taken away for investigation on the evening of August 29th.
The news came out, once again detonated soccer, which is another important football association that fell from grace after last year's anti-corruption shock in Chinese soccer.
Since November 2022, when former national football head coach Li Tie was taken away for investigation, a total of 14 key members have been arrested so far as the anti-corruption storm in China's football sector continues.
These also include Du Zhaocai, former deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports, and Chen Xuyuan, former president of the Football Association, who is in charge of soccer business.
On the Chinese Super League side, Liu Jun is also the fourth Chinese Super League chairman to be taken away for investigation. Before that, three former Chinese Super League chairmen, such as Hongchen, Ma Chengquan and Li Yuyi, were taken away.
Regarding Liu Jun, previous resumes have consistently shown him to be in charge of the professional soccer portion of the game, most notably his connection to Jiangsu soccer.
Liu Jun, who served as general manager of Jiangsu Suning Football Club and vice president of Suning Sports Group.
I do not know Liu Jun this fall, may once again Suning football-related personnel to investigate. Need to further observe, waiting for authoritative news to confirm.
And there's another important link in Liu Jun's resume, as he has also served as CEO of Serie A giant and well-known veteran, FC Inter Milan.
