The game started off with a 4 - 0 lead for the Bucks on their home court. However, the Lakers quickly adjusted and fought back with accurate shooting and led by six points at one point. Portis scored 12 points in one quarter and hit two three-pointers to help the Bucks close the gap. At the end of the first quarter, the Lakers led 26 - 23.
In the second quarter, the Stags started poorly, trailing by 7 points. They then adjusted to tie the game and rally to take a seven-point lead. Adetokounmpo had a good quarter, scoring 16 points, while James also scored 10 points, including two key three-pointers. The quarter ended with the Bucks leading 58-52.
In the third quarter, the score was tied. The Lakers had a good offense, and the Bucks, cheered on by the home crowd, had a good defense and offense to take an 82 - 74 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Bucks started the game on offense, bringing the score to 89 - 74, but the Lakers didn't give up and found a rhythm to score consecutively, not only tying the game, but also leading by 12 points. Olivari scored 11 points and hit 3 three-pointers in the quarter to help the Lakers win 107 - 102.
