In an interview, Chinese women's soccer player Wang Linlin recalled her goal against South Korea in the East Asian Cup last year.

Recalling her first selection for the national team, Wang Linlin said: "I was actually surprised, I didn't expect to be called up by the national team. I saw on Weibo that that list would be sent out, and then it was a notice from the team that I was going to the national team. I didn't expect to go to the national team at this age because for me, my position is more special."

Speaking about his first goal against South Korea in last year's East Asian Cup, Wang Linlin said, "As a defender, I went up to contest South Korea. At that time, there was no defender staring at me. Then I yelled for Sister Frost and I had no one to stare at. I think I was loud, but I don't know if Sister Frost heard me. After that the ball came out and Xiao Xiao (Xiao Yuyi) happened to have a bad hit and then the ball came to me and I didn't really think about it myself and the ball went in (laughs).

I didn't really think too much about it, Director Shui gave me the opportunity to play in the East Asian Cup, and since they trust me so much and the opportunity is in such an important position as a defender, I'm going to give it my all. I don't think I should think too much, I told myself to play to my ability and relax."
