German soccer club Borussia Dortmund of the First Division have bought young defender Jan Cotto from English Premier League club Manchester City for a total transfer price of just under 30 million euros, according to Sky Sports Germany's Plettenberg.
The report suggests that Dortmund will pay Manchester City a total of €24 million (approx. £20 million), which includes a €4 million (approx. £3.3 million) loan fee and a €20 million (approx. £16.7 million) buyout fee, to take ownership of Yann Cotto. In addition, Dortmund will also pay Manchester City a bonus of up to €5 million (approx. £4.2 million) depending on Jan Kotto's future performance in the team. Therefore, despite the inclusion of bonuses, Jan Cotto's total transfer price remains under €30 million (approx. £25 million).
