The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced the latest national men's football training list on June 6th. According to an article published by Beijing Youth Daily, Wang Qiuming is one of the most desirable options to add to the national team's backline, while Li Ang's drop was a surprise.

Striker Wang Ziming, midfielder Wang Qiuming, defender Li Lei, Gao Junyi and five players who failed to make the last training squad will return to the national team tomorrow. These five players are all players who have performed well in the first third of the new Chinese Super League season. Wang Qiuming, for example, has not only played a central role in the team as captain of the Jinmen Tigers, but has scored repeatedly to help the team win. With Wu Xi out with a serious injury, Wang is undoubtedly one of the most ideal "waist" candidates for the national soccer team. Since joining the Jinmen Tigers this season, tomorrow has occupied the team's starting position, and tomorrow's achievement is indispensable for Jinmen Tigers to remain undefeated in the new season. Gao Junyi, who missed the last training session due to an injury, is one of Jankovic's most valued players.

Guoan's Wang Ziming and Li Lei were regulars on the national soccer team during the Lippi era. Prince Ming scored three goals in nine games. After a year of studying in Switzerland, Li Lei returned to the Guoan team this season and quickly occupied the team's main position at left back. He was able to impress Jankovic mainly because of his relentless running ability and strong sense of assists.

Among the naturalized players, only striker Ackerson and defender Jiang Guangtai were included in the squad. Tan Long, Barton, Wu Xi, He Chao, Li Ang, Liu Yiming, Ren Hang and seven other players who either participated in the last training session or were with the squad for the New Zealand warm-up match in late March missed out on the training squad. Among them, Tan Long and Barton, who are overage players for the Asian Games, will take part in the Asian Games training in Jinhua in June, as well as the two international warm-up matches against South Korea for the Asian Games. Wu Xi, He Chao, Liu Yiming and Ren Hang failed to make the squad due to injuries.

Li Ang's fall from grace was somewhat surprising, as he has only made five appearances for Shanghai Harbour in the 11 rounds of the Chinese Super League that have been completed, four of which were starts. After missing the trip to New Zealand, naturalized player Jiang Guangtai is back in the national men's soccer team again. The national team's center back lineup boasts a number of versatile players capable of playing in the middle and on the wings such as Wei Zhen, Wang Shenchao, and Zhang Linpeng, so Jankovic ended up dropping Li Ang.
