According to data from the Southern Metropolis Daily on June 7, the Chinese men's soccer team announced its latest 24-player training list on the afternoon of June 6, which included a whopping 10 former players from Guangzhou.
Shanghai Harbor, the leading Chinese Super League side with seven selections, is the first international player. Wuhan Sanzhen and Shandong Taishan had five and four players selected respectively for the first two seasons of the Chinese Super League championship.
In this 24-player list, Zhang Linpeng, Jiang Guangtai, Xu Xin, Liu Dengzuo, Wei Shihao, Deng Hanwen, Gao Junyi, Aixen, Wang Shangyuan, and Zhang Jiaqi are all veterans of the Guangzhou team. In addition, Lin Liangming, who now plays for Dalian Ren, is a player trained by Guangzhou R&F's youth training.
