In the 2022 season, in the face of the porous Chinese Super League, Chengdu Rongcheng, which has completed the "four consecutive jumps" of the Championship, B, A and Super League in only four years, has risen to the top, creating Chengdu's best record in the history of the Chinese Super League.
The two 18-year-olds have excelled in the team, with Hu and Tao's value rising from €25,000 to €450,000 and Mutalifu's from €25,000 to €325,000. They managed to be selected for the national youth team, with which they reached the last eight of the Asian Youth Championships, but failed to advance further to the World Youth Championships.
But after ten rounds of the new Chinese Super League season, Hu and Mutalifu did not play in the Super League as they were transferred to Europe to train for the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers, most recently returning to play in the Chengdu Panda Cup International Youth Soccer Invitational Tournament in June.
With Chengdu Rongcheng yet to lose this season and the team running well, there has been little call for Mutalifu and Hu Huotao to return to the team.
Whether or not such a long period of training made sense for Mutalifu and Hu and Tao, I can't say, but all the lessons learned beforehand speak of the failure of the "training team".

In an interview with Mutalifu after the Asian Cup in March 2023, Soccer Daily mentioned, "Both you, Hu and Tao, Efirdin, although it is your first time to participate in this tournament, you are very confident on the pitch."
"It does have to do with the fact that we got a lot of playing time in the league last year and it's because we played a lot in the Premier League that we gained some game experience. It also helped boost our self-confidence especially after playing some high level games."
However, at the age of 18 or 9, they were all brought to train for the Olympics by Ching Yiu Tung. From March 9 to June 8 this year, in Croatia and Belgium, the Olympics will play at least 27 warm-up matches.
The schedule is to play 12 round-robin matches against Croatian second division teams, four warm-up matches against teams arranged by the Croatian Football Federation and six warm-up matches against Belgian second and third division teams.
It is unfathomable that young players in the National Olympic team who are already able to rotate through the Chinese Super League, and therefore unable to return to the league, are wasting a lot of time on this kind of overseas training that means so little.
Even due to training, most of the Olympians are not registered for the new Super League season. They are temporarily ineligible to represent their respective teams in the league until the mid-season supplement on June 9, which is the 12th round of the Super League.
Just before the training, on March 1 this year, the Beijing Youth Daily said that the Olympics even aspire to play in the new season of the first division due to the lack of international warm-up opportunities.
"As an age-appropriate Olympic team, the players are not young. So if you get to play in a league, the team will play as much as they can at a higher level, and of course, the smaller workouts are more valuable."
In the beginning, the reason why the FA sent the entire national Olympic team to Croatia for training was because most of the players were not getting stable playing time at their clubs and the players were not getting more exercise.
But for now, the three-month training campaign of the National Olympics has a dismal record, with four wins, one draw and 12 losses in 17 known matches.
For young players, if the club has young players with potential but they are not as good as the first team for the time being. A common practice is to rent to a low level league for training. In order to play soccer, Zeng Cheng did not hesitate to go on loan to the Indonesian league.
But a few years ago, the new policy for young players was a farce, costing players who should have gone on to work out in lower leagues a chance to get a rental. Clubs need to keep at least three to five young players rotting on the bench for this policy, costing players who should be getting game workouts on the upswing.
It has to be said that the three months of the Olympics were a pointless training exercise against an Olympic qualifier with little hope of progressing, but there are always people who dream of succeeding in a few years' tenure and winning something that is completely out of the question.
training team
The backwardness of Chinese soccer is all-encompassing, but there are always a few people who become obstacles to the progress of Chinese soccer.
In fact, the national youth national youth teams at all levels have long been a tool for some people to seize benefits. Saying that the selection is narrow and the number of youth training is small are all excuses to hide the fact that they want to muddle through and make money on the one hand.
Looking back at the Jiangsu Youth Army, Jixiang, Sun Ke and Zhou Yun, they became the mainstay of their clubs in their early 20s, but have never been selected for any level of the national youth or national youth teams. FA, are the choices in Chinese soccer really narrow.
Huang Zichang refused to sign with Li Ming's agency and was kicked out of the national youth team. Later, he performed well and was recruited by national teams at all levels on a rotating basis. It is only in recent seasons that his form has eased.
At the time, Magath was ready to promote 17-year-old Guo Tianyu to the first team. As a result, he was caught training everywhere by the FA. Until Magatte left, he never saw Guo Tianyu again. It would have been very rare to have such a good chance to play in a professional league during promotion, but he was wasted by the FA.
A few years later, Guo Tianyu returned to China and finally had a solid game and scored a lot of goals. As a result, the FA took a shot at political study abroad.
Can not play does not matter, follow the training of the European team will certainly improve the ball. Guo Tianyu went to Portugal to see half a year of water fountains, in addition to the weight rise, the ball did not rise at all, but a sharp decline.
Now Guo Tianyu is twenty-four years old, can't play in Shandong, and looking back on his career, is pretty much an average player.
If a player is out of formal competition for a long period of time, his playing form will naturally drop drastically. A group of players with declining form who train together in combination for a long period of time are unlikely to achieve good results. This is what Chinese soccer history has proven countless times.
It is a common practice in all countries around the world to select players in good league form to enter the national team, and to hone the manager's tactical play through a proper handful of warm-up matches and training sessions, which is the best way to ensure that the national team will be battle-tested in official matches.
No soccer powerhouse has made the same behind-closed-doors choices in decades, except for the National Football League, which is keen to train.
Thinking with a normal human mind, maybe there's a lot of oil and water in long term training, or else failing so many times with no results and sticking with it is unreasonable.
