National team player Zielinski, while playing in the UEFA Europa League, shared in a podcast that a number of big European clubs had tried to sign him. According to him, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes (B Faye) personally invited him to join the club, and the two men are in close contact due to the fact that they worked together at Udinese.

Zielinski also mentioned that West Ham United were also very close to signing him when Napoli president De Laurentiis was satisfied with the €35 million offer from West Ham United. He had even started looking for medical attention and accommodation for his family, but eventually decided to stay because of his desire for the title and the retention of his coach Spalletti. Spalletti told him that staying would make him "the best Zielinski".

In addition, Liverpool have shown a strong interest in Zielinski, with the club even sending a private jet to Florence to pick him up. Zielinski traveled to Liverpool on this plane with his agent and was warmly received by manager Jurgen Klopp. Klopp praised Zielinski as a combination of Gündoğan and Cesc Fabregas during the conversation and watched the Premier League match together.

According to Zielinski, Arsenal were at one point closer to success than Barcelona in the race to sign him, but the transfer ultimately failed to materialize due to the reluctance of Napoli president De Laurentiis to include the young player from the La Masia youth academy in the deal.
