On May 5, reporters learned from the Zhanjiang Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism and Sports Bureau that Zhanjiang soccer player Chen Qiaozhu was awarded the title of "Miss Southern Soccer 2022" at the recent Southern Soccer List Awards Ceremony. The award was chosen by the majority of fans, provincial media and soccer experts, and three players were selected: Chen Qiaozhu, Xie Qiwen and Peng Simeng. Xie Qiwen is a striker from Guangzhou, and Peng Simeng is a goalkeeper from Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, currently playing for Guangdong Meizhou Hakka Women's Football Club.

In 2014, Chen Qiaozhu won the gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games with China's U15 women's soccer team.In 2015, Chen Qiaozhu represented Zhanjiang to participate in the 14th Provincial Games and won the third place in the Women's Soccer Championship for Competitive Teams.In 2017, she served as the captain of the Guangdong team and led the team to win the runner-up place in the U18 Women's Soccer Championship of the 13th National Games. Chen Qiaozhu participated in all the matches of the 2017 Asian Youth Championships and 2018 World Youth Championships as a main defender of the Chinese youth team.
Although Chen Qiaozhu suffered an unfortunate injury during a domestic tournament in 2019, she returned to the national team as a member of the "Clanging Roses" in 2020 after surgery and rehabilitation, and in the summer of 2021 she competed in the Tokyo Olympics with the Chinese team. However, Chen Qiaozhu suffered another injury during a domestic tournament, causing her to miss more than a year on the national team. She also finished seventh in the 2022 CFA Women's Super League with Guangdong Meizhou Hakka FC.
However, as she recovered from her injury, Chen Qiaozhu excelled in the Women's Super League and was reintroduced to the training roster of the Chinese women's national soccer team.
