Needless to say, Dai Weijun used to play for the Premier League's Wolverhampton Wanderers' ladder excelling at both Wolverhampton Wanderers U19 and U21. For the past three seasons, he played in Shenzhen in the Chinese Super League and excelled in the team. He is one of the few Chinese players who can work with big-name foreigner Quintero. In addition, after qualifying for the national team, he played the first 12 games for the national team. Although he failed to help the national team turn things around, his individual performance was outstanding. As time goes by, he will become the core of the national team.

The other is Delgado, the first non-Chinese naturalized player in Chinese soccer. He is a Portuguese player who grew up in Portuguese youth training. However, due to the CFA's rules, even if he obtains Chinese citizenship, he can only be considered a foreigner in the Chinese league. In other words, he is an alien, as he is currently considered a foreigner in any country in the world. However, Delgado played one game in the 2021 season with Shandong Taishan and did very well. He played 18 games for the team with 10 starts, 9 goals and 3 assists in a very impressive performance. In the 2022 season, he was loaned out to Kunshan FC in the Chinese First Division and turned in 18 games with 8 starts, 7 goals and 2 assists. It can be said that Delgado's stats are good enough to reach the foreigner level.

But both national soccer midfielder hopefuls are facing a goalless situation. Dai Weijun refused to return to the team because Shenzhen owed him wages and did not offer him a transfer. The only way to be a fan is to be in the stands of the Chinese Super League. Delgado had an even more difficult time, as Shandong Taishan didn't register him or give him a loan to another team this season because he took up the foreign aid quota. That means he can only train with the team and watch his teammates play, he can't do anything, it's so embarrassing.

Both have recently updated their social media, with Dai Weijun going around as a fan and posting photos of himself watching the game.

Delgado posted pictures of him training, sad and reluctant. He could play for the national soccer team next year, but he can't play football.

I have to say, Chinese soccer is really good, it's so ironic to know that they lack midfielders and their two midfielders wish they didn't have the ball to play on, it's not a broken arm!
