On September 25th, Sevilla welcomed Valladolid to the Pizjuan Stadium, the home of Sevilla, in the 7th round of the Spanish First Division. Both sides showed a strong desire to win and brought an exciting match to the fans.
Sevilla was the first to break the deadlock in the first half. In the 45th minute, Luke Baggio launched an attack from the left side and his cross was inadvertently deflected into his own goal by Valladolid defender David Torres, resulting in an own goal. However, the match did not end there. In the 90th+1st minute, Valladolid's Marco Teixeira knocked down Sevilla's Ciera in a scramble, and the referee showed him his second yellow card of the match and sent him off. The penalty added to Valladolid's woes and condemned them to a loss for the match.
In the end, Sevilla narrowly won the match 2-1 against Valladolid thanks to an oval from David Torres, an equalizer from Kike Perez and a winning goal from Ejuk.
