
On September 25th, Sevilla welcomed Valladolid to the Pizjuan Stadium, the home of Sevilla, in the 7th round of the Spanish First Division. Both sides showed a strong desire to win and brought an exciting match to the fans.
Sevilla was the first to break the deadlock in the first half. In the 45th minute, Luke Baggio launched an attack from the left side and his cross was inadvertently deflected into his own goal by Valladolid defender David Torres, resulting in an own goal. This sudden goal gave Sevilla a 1-0 lead and brought cheers and joy to the home fans.
In the second half, Valladolid didn't get discouraged by falling behind, but instead stepped up their offense. In the 56th minute, Mario Martín sent a precise pass from the right side of the field, and Quique Pérez calmly pushed the ball inside the box to equalize the score at 1-1. This goal gave Valladolid the hope of equalizing or even overtaking the score, and also inspired their fighting spirit.
Sevilla then took the lead again. In the 85th minute, Valladolid made a mistake at the back and Sevilla seized the opportunity to launch a counterattack. Ejuk took a pass from his teammates in the penalty area and fired a low shot into the goal, giving Sevilla the lead again, making the score 2-1. This goal made the Sevilla fans roar with joy and sealed the victory for the team.
However, the match did not end there. In the 90th+1st minute, Valladolid's Marco Teixeira knocked down Sevilla's Ciera in a scramble, and the referee showed him his second yellow card of the match and sent him off. The penalty added to Valladolid's woes and condemned them to a loss for the match.
In the end, Sevilla narrowly won the match 2-1 against Valladolid thanks to an oval from David Torres, an equalizer from Kike Perez and a winning goal from Ejuk.
