According to Chengdu news on April 22, Rongcheng player Hu Xingyu revealed on social media that he will take a break from his professional soccer career.

Hu Xingyu, 21, was promoted to Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic's first team in 2020 before joining Suzhou Dongwu on loan.He made his debut in the Chinese Super League in 2021 for Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic and played in the Chinese Super League with the U20 National Youth League. He officially joined Chengdu Rongcheng in March this year, but he was not included in Chengdu Rongcheng's registration list for the new season. Hu Xingyu revealed his whereabouts on social media:

"A lot of concerned friends and coaches have been asking me lately which team I have rented this year. Some teams did contact me, but life is always about choices. I also want to choose the lifestyle I like. Maybe I will leave professional soccer for a while. Please forgive me for being selfish. I feel bad for the support and expectations of my relatives and people who care about me, but it's only temporary. Maybe one day I'll pack my bags again and appear in everyone's eyes. After all, I'm not sure I'll ever completely let go of the soccer I've loved for over a decade afterward. If that day comes, I hope everyone will support me again. At least for now, I should thank Suzhou. The road of life is still long, we will always meet each other."
