The Chinese Super League schedule has been announced, the league will open on April 15, November 4 end. The schedule lasts less than seven months, almost the entire season is "half a year" to finish. A big part of the reason is to make way for the national soccer team. According to media outlet Miao Yuan, a large number of midweek games were added to the schedule. The internal argument is to build up the team's fitness, which is another exciting event in soccer!

As we all know, the Chinese Super League was affected by objective factors and did not officially start until April 15th. Compared with Japan and South Korea, it has lagged behind considerably. However, the outside world was even more surprised when the fixture schedule was announced. The league ended early in early November, leaving plenty of time for international match days in November. It was also reportedly to make way for national soccer training and matches again!

However, media personality Miao Yuan also said that there are a lot of midweek matches scheduled, which has left some teams facing a lot of week-long double fixtures, and that the internal narrative is clearly struggling to convince the public to work on the fitness of their players. Miao Yuan also raised the issue that all clubs are looking to increase their revenues this year by utilizing open home and away stadiums, which is clearly not conducive to that goal!

Midweek games affect fan attendance and also the club's income. It is important to realize that after the abolition of the title, clubs can only be self-financing in their own way. Until the formation of a soccer culture in China, ticket revenue was still a very important source of income. Miao Yuan later admitted that two matches a week were played in order to make way for national soccer training!

This year has been a year of recovery for the Chinese soccer league. Prior to this, the Chinese Super League dramatically increased the national team's long-term training and competition, which caused negative impacts and didn't really improve the national soccer team's performance. Needless to say, we expect the FA to build on the league and steadily develop it to achieve long-term improvements in youth training and national football performance!
