Recently, on April 8, Beijing time, the General Administration of Sport reportedly held a conference on anti-corruption, and as many as 10 people were named, most of them soccer players.

In the past 10 years, the national soccer team's performance has been declining, and the golden dollar era has not changed the backward nature of Chinese soccer. The Football Association has been spending money, but has put a large number of clubs on the road to dissolution. Chinese soccer is the typical antithesis of Chinese sports.

The General Administration named and criticized 10 people, including Chen Xuyuan, Hu Guangyu, Liu Aijie, Huang Song, Li Tie, Yu Hongchen, Liu Yi, Wang Xiaoping, Chen Yongliang and Dong Zheng.

Most of them have something to do with soccer. Or I've worked for the FA, or I've been around soccer. Or I used to work for the national soccer team. It is sad to have to say that people involved in Chinese soccer are often seen on the opposite side of the typical spectrum.

Among them, Chen Xuyuan and Yu Hongchen have served as top executives of the FA. Li Tie is the former head coach of the national soccer team and Wang Xiaoping is the disciplinarian of the FA. Liu Yi, Huang Song and Chen Yongliang are staff members of the FA, and Dong Zheng is a former translator for the national soccer team. Only Hu Guangyu is part of the General Administration and Liu Aijie is the leader of the China Rowing Association. For now, they should be held accountable for the poor performance and disorganization of the national soccer team, the league and the ladder teams.

The Football Association has been criticized over the past few years. Not only are the top brass unhappy with their performance, but ordinary fans have repeatedly mocked them. But the performance of the national soccer team and the Chinese Super League team is getting worse and worse. Starting from 2020, it will be difficult for Chinese Super League teams to win the Asian Championship.

In the last two years there has been a total failure of a team. Chinese soccer teams at all levels of the ladder are not playing well in Asia. the U16 qualifiers were knocked out, the U19 qualifiers were knocked out, and the U23s have only won one game in the U23 Asian Cup in over 10 years.

Compared to the U16, the national soccer team results and the Chinese Super League teams participating in the AFC Champions League are worse. They went from losing to Thailand 10 years ago to losing to Vietnam. During that time they have been knocked out by Syria and drawn by Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. Asian soccer as a whole is rapidly improving. Southeast and Central Asia are the subject of aggressive development by the AFC, except for the West Asian teams that have been excellent at home in the past. National soccer teams are starting to drop all the way down in results against them.

However, while many areas are underperforming, players and FA-related personnel are earning record incomes. Former FA top man Du Zhao was exposed as having spent more than $50 million during his preparations for the Asian Cup. But the $1.7 billion restructuring fee has yet to be followed.

In any league in Asia, 1.7 billion people can run for a long time. Domestic clubs naturalize a lot of players, but they don't get enough time to play in the preseason.

The performance of the national soccer team has not improved much over the years. The 2002 World Cup was the only time they made it to the tournament. Historically, that was the only time that the FA and the national soccer team were invited to television.

Chinese soccer players are often seen on screen compared to athletes from other sports, who tend to only find their names on critique lists.
