On March 17, ESPN reported that Henry, a famous French player, is very interested in the position of coach of the U.S. national team. Previously, Michel Aulas, a member of the French Football Federation's committee, expressed his desire for Henry to coach the French women's soccer team, but Henry's answer was not positive and may be considering other options.

"I asked Henry myself, but the answer was not positive," said Michel Aulas, a member of the French Football Federation, in an interview with French media outlet Le Figaro. Obviously, he was very flattered when he received our invitation. We did it because we wanted to show him our interest in him. But I think he is considering other options."

According to sources, Henry is very interested in the currently vacant U.S. men's national team head coaching position. Former U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter's contract with the U.S. has been vacant since it expired at the end of 2022. U.S. Soccer said this week that Burkhardt remains a candidate for the U.S. marquee after an investigation into allegations of domestic violence against him.

Henry said in an interview with CBS, "Do I know American players? Yes, I know American players. Do I know the USLF? Yes, I know the USL. Do I want to be a coach at any level in the USL? Of course, that's one of the things I want to do."
