It was supposed to be a game of little suspense, but the trend changed with Casemiro getting a red card. Statistically, it was Casemiro's second red card in the Premier League this season, his second red in just 36 days, and the first United player to receive two red cards in a single season since 2013/14.
In the end Manchester United and Southampton exchanged a 0-0 draw, with one point each, giving United 50 points. While remaining in third place, fifth-placed Liverpool scored eight points.
EPL: Arsenal 3-0 Fulham
Arsenal refused to drop the ball when it counted against the pressure of defending champions Manchester City. Facing newly-promoted Mar Fulham, Arsenal ended the first-half suspense early, with Gabriel, Martinelli and Ödgård breaking through at the same time. Trossard was also the first player in Premier League history to have a hat trick of first half assists away from home. In the end Arsenal went on to win 3-0, scoring 66 points and remaining five points clear at the top of the table.
Statistically, Eder got his 10th individual Premier League goal this season, making Arsenal the second team in the top five leagues to score a double three players at the same time this season. The first was Paris.
