As Guardiola's contract with Manchester City is set to expire at the end of the season and his future destination is yet to be clarified, City goalkeeper Ederson expressed his views in an interview with Brazilian edition of ESPN.

Responding to a question about whether his future is linked to Guardiola staying or not, Ederson made it clear: "No, not at all. Manchester City today is a well-structured, well-managed club with great directors and a great CEO." He emphasized that City has the ability to operate stably and continue to grow, regardless of whether Guardiola remains in charge or not.

Ederson further stated, "I'm sure the club are already thinking about the next manager and even if Guardiola decides to leave, they will try to go down the same route." This shows his trust in the management of Manchester City FC that the club has a clear long-term plan and succession plan.

At the same time, Ederson also expressed his respect and dismay for Guardiola: "If he does leave, it's certainly a huge loss. We are talking about the best coach in the world." However, he also showed his confidence in City's future, "But I see a club that is fully prepared for the post-Guadiola era." This suggests that Ederson believes that City will continue to be competitive and consistent regardless of whether Guardiola stays or not.
