After being officially appointed by the FA as England's next manager, Tuchel spoke to Sky Sports about coaching goals and team expectations.
Asked if it would be a failure if England failed to win a major tournament during his tenure, Tuchel said: "Our goal is to win, so it's hard to generalize whether it's a failure or not. If we fail to achieve our goals, then we need to discuss it in depth and analyze the reasons. Of course, in competitive sport, there is always the possibility of failure. We will do our best to achieve the best results and win trophies. Our goal is the highest honor in world football, and we make no secret of that. I believe that making this clear is the first step towards success, and then we must devote all our efforts to achieving this goal."
He further emphasized, "We have to remain humble and give our all to the qualification and move forward one step at a time. We have a clear understanding of that. This pressure is more of a positive push for me as we want to achieve those seemingly impossible goals. I strongly believe that the EFL is ready for this and the players are ready for it. England have been very consistent and good in recent tournaments and we want to build on that."
