With England officially announcing that Tuchel has taken over as the new manager of the Three Lions, there has been a lot of discussion in the soccer world about the change. Against this backdrop, former Manchester United defender Ferdinand gave his insight into the possibility of Jurgen Klopp coaching England, saying that he believes that Klopp's chances of coaching England are slim to none due to his deep affection for Liverpool and personal considerations.
Ferdinand said: "Klopp's name naturally comes up when we talk about who the England manager should be, but in my opinion it's not very realistic for him to coach England. Klopp has left an indelible mark on Liverpool, creating an unbreakable bond with the club and its fans. That deep emotional bond makes it very difficult for him to turn around and become at the helm of the England team, as that might cause him to lose the hearts of the Liverpool fans in some way."
He further pointed out, "Klopp has not only won countless honors in his coaching career at Liverpool, but more importantly, he has established a special tacit understanding and trust with the fans. This emotional connection cannot be replaced by any money or honor. Therefore, I don't think Klopp will easily give up this emotional belonging and choose to coach another national team."
In addition, Ferdinand also mentioned Klopp's personal considerations: "Klopp said when he left Liverpool that he needed to take a break and deal with some personal issues. This suggests that he may not have been in a hurry to find a new coaching position at the time, but rather wanted more time to spend with his family and adjust his physical and mental state. In such a context, jumping straight into the England team is obviously not a wise choice for him."
