Chinese soccer, always with Chinese characteristics, a major feature of Chinese soccer is that you can not get around the Chinese coaching staff.
After Yankovic officially took over as head coach of the national soccer team, the Football Association decided to appoint Shao Jiayi, Zheng Zhi and Chen Tao as members of the Chinese coaching staff, which was described as "speeding up the warm-up between foreign coaching staff and players, so that the team can follow up the game as soon as possible".
Yet, strangely enough, as the most mysterious organization in the history of Chinese soccer, the Chinese coaching staff seems to have played the role of a spoiler throughout the 20 years of pseudo-professionalism. This natural symbolism is sometimes even set off by the stupidity of foreign coaches.
Some people say that this is known as systematic characterization. In fact, it is nothing more than a lack of confidence in soccer on the part of these people. The answer to the Chinese coaching staff, existence or non-existence, what should be the voice, this Chinese question, is difficult to give.
Back in Schlapner's time, Xu Genbao and Yang Yimin were part of the Chinese coaching staff, but at that time they were just decorations and didn't play much of a real role. Schlapner had only one answer and refused to take advice from Chinese coaches.
When Qi Wusheng led the team to the 1997 World Qualifying Tournament, the number of "assistant coaches" reached seven. Later, due to the chaotic organizational structure, the head coach had no decision-making power, and the other members of the coaching staff decided the lineup. After the national soccer team went out of the tournament, Qi Wusheng said bluntly, "I am only responsible".

In the era of Milu, with the further development of communication and information, the difference between the head coach and the Chinese coaching team gradually came to the stage. Although Yan Shiduo has always emphasized "Milu's core theory", Milu increasingly felt that there is an invisible hand binding himself.
Whether he wanted to or not, he had to follow Yan Shiduo's wishes and return to China from Argentina as scheduled and discuss matters related to the Top 10 with National Football League (NFF) leader Zhu Heyuan. In later interviews, Jin Zhiyang did not avoid the issue.
"After all, we know more about Chinese soccer than he does. We might actively recommend some players to him or give our opinion on a certain match."
At that time, in order to recruit newcomers for the national football team and take care of Milu's face, the Chinese coaching team proposed: within a week after the league stoppage, the international players drawn up by Milu will first take a week's vacation, and the international players on standby will immediately go to the training ground to inspect the same field with the Chinese youth team.
However, Milo rejected such a proposal, believing that the main framework of the team had already been established, and all he needed was to fine-tune it. Now faced with a "new national team", Milo believes that it is unrealistic to select enough candidates to replace the existing main lineup within a fixed period of time.
"The first thing I have to consider is the overall style and play of the team. Whether a player fits into the collective is the simplest common sense. But there are always people who say XX should be in the national team, XX should play as a starter, and that's not what they should consider."
It was not until Milo left China that such debates stopped.
The nature of the Chinese coaching staff began to change qualitatively during the Arrihan period, becoming a replacement for the head coach when the FA deemed him a failure.
In July 2004, in the first match of the group stage of the Asian Cup, Alihan surprisingly replaced veteran Li Ming, who had been in good form since his return to the national team, and who rarely played at right back. The right side of the Chinese football team was completely paralyzed in the match, which ended in a draw between the two sides.
Before the start of the opening match, the Chinese coaching staff is said to have suggested that Li Ming should play as a right-winger and Zhou Haibin should play as a double midfielder with Zhao Junzhe, but Ariehan didn't take on board those suggestions.
There was also a period of controversy over Liu Yunfei, the main goalkeeper backed by the Chinese coaching staff at the time, and Li Jian, whom Alihan discovered from the league.
Until October 13th, the national soccer team lost to Kuwait in the World Qualifier. The bad command of this game left Alihan sitting in the crater, and then there was no way back for the national soccer team and Hong Kong, China.
Six days later, the FA decided to set up a "joint coaching team" consisting of FA officials, Chinese coaches and Alihan to make recommendations. However, the seven-goal victory against Hong Kong, China, would later become the most popular part of Chinese soccer's shameful history.
During the "dual coaching" period of Frado and Doi, the team's style, technique and tactics began to become confused due to the conceptual differences between Doi and Frado themselves. With the intervention of the Chinese coaching staff, many conflicts intensified.
The Chinese coaching staff discussed Duy's 18-man squad list before the Sino-Chinese war on June 7, 2008, resulting in Duy submitting a starting lineup the next day that had little to do with the list.
On July 16, Doe publicly blasted the FA, "We are all pawns. I'm a pawn and you're all pawns. I don't decide a lot of things. One of you should be gone, but he's still here."
Such a "suicide attack" caught the federation off guard, and the process of "emptying Doi" was urgently initiated. 23 July, the list of the national team for the Beijing Olympics was announced after repeated matches.
Players favored by Doe were further marginalized, with Shen Yongyuan, Zhu Ting, and Dailin removed from the big list and put on the waiting list. Among them, Zhu Ting was the thunderous mainstay of the Doe era.
Checks and balances Chinese characteristics
After Camacho's loss, scandals within the national soccer team were once again rumored, "Camacho's biggest mistake was not completely disbanding Gao Hongbo's team, Chinese soccer can't work together, but can't dismantle each other."
The coaching staff that Camacho put together when he took over was not what he thought it would be. Wanda wanted to set up a national soccer coaching staff with a purely Spanish style of soccer, while the Chinese Football Association wanted to keep former head coach Gao Hongbo.
Camacho and Wanda can prevent Gao Hongbo's "reservation", but they can not refuse the reservation of other Chinese coaches. As the CFA negotiating weight, Fu Bo, area Chu Liang and other people awkwardly stay in the national football coaching group, so that millions of euros to build the national football coaching group has become a pot of "sandwich rice".
There is a theory that, with the exception of Camacho, none of the other foreign coaches at the time were allowed to "supervise the army in China".
As marginal members and learners, the Chinese coaching staff has been playing the role of awkward "aliens" in Chinese soccer. The result was an early exit for the national soccer team in the 20-team tournament.
Stubbornness is the word most used to evaluate the dismissal of foreign coaches who have coached in the National Football League.
It seems that foreigners with high hopes end up with the stereotype of "not knowing the country". We don't know if Yankovic will leave China for this reason.
For the Chinese coaching staff, in the past a long time. When the national football team is not performing well, the Chinese coaching staff always "count the peaks of speechless standing oblique sun"; but in the national football team is performing well, but they have jumped out to sing "military medals also have my half".
The clarity of the Chinese coaching staff in the face of both victory and defeat not only hints at signs that the head coach is working with them, but also calls into question the value of the Chinese coaching staff.
The intention of this organization is obvious, mainly to help coordinate problems and prevent them from intensifying. If the national team makes a big mess and the foreign coaches can't hold it together, the Chinese coaching staff can't escape the collateral responsibility of helping to carry the pot. Then it is to clean up the mess and make a good transition before the new coach takes over.
Shao Jiayi, Zheng Zhi and Chen Tao, as part of China's coaching staff, will now begin a new round of the national football team's journey, "empty", "become a puppet" and other comments have been rampant.
Jankovic may not have been any stronger than his predecessor in the year Chinese soccer began its resurgence, but these guys are enough now that the story between the so-called Chinese coaching staff and him has just begun.
