The 2021 Chinese Super League, for example, has been suspended twice this season, with a break of nearly two months from May 17 to July 15; the other was suspended for nearly four months from Aug. 15 to Dec. 12, creating a record for the longest league suspension in history. This means that the so-called professional players of China's top league have no ball to play for half a year.

Also this season, the Premier League was reduced from 30 to 22 rounds. After a long suspension, the Premier League was forced to play an unprecedentedly intensive schedule. Starting in mid-July 2021, players played nine rounds in 27 days, an average of one game every three days. The second was eight games in 24 days starting on December 12, also one game in three days.

Such anti-rule intensive fighting leaves players in pain, the risk of injury is greatly increased as rotations have to be implemented, and viewing of CFL matches is greatly reduced.

For the consequence of the national team, everything is that the players are playing hard, the fans are bored and the sponsors are unhappy. Under these circumstances, if the national soccer team does make it to the World Cup, it would be living up to the pain of the FA. In fact, this dream is impossible to realize.

Objectively speaking, when Chen Xuyuan took office, the problems caused by excessive money burning and investment in China were already sick to the bone. Chen found the problem and tried to solve it.

Due to his work experience in Shanghai Shanghai club, some of Chen Xuyuan's inappropriate speeches have caused unnecessary opposition and fans' disgust. For example, Chen Xuyuan once bluntly said at a Chinese Super League meeting that Evergrande had won more championships, and if Chinese soccer could not go up, it would be useless.

The 2020 season saw the Chinese Super League end amidst an epidemic, when many teams revealed news of salary arrears. At a post-season meeting on the special governance of China's professional soccer leagues, Chen Xuyuan expressed his attitude: our investment in the Chinese Super League is more than three times that of Japan's J-League and more than 10 times that of South Korea's K-League; and the average salary of a first-team player in the Chinese Super League is 5.8 times that of a player in the J-League and 11.7 times that of a player in the K-League. Golden dollar soccer is eating up the healthy body of Chinese soccer. Haven't we woken up yet? Are some people dying of conscience and continuing to enjoy the illusory soccer bubble environment?"

After Chen Xuyuan published this "conscience theory", it caused another uproar. It seems that many investors who were popular before have suddenly become "conscience is dead".

There are many ways to bring the Chinese Super League back to rationality from madness, but the FA's across-the-board salary restriction has shifted a lot of pressure directly from the clubs to the players. There are even clubs that maliciously deny past contracts and suppress player wages.

Subsequently, the FA made it clear that in the new contract, the maximum salary of domestic players will not exceed 10 million yuan before tax, and the maximum salary of foreign aiders will not exceed 3 million euros after tax. By the end of 2020, the maximum salary for local players will be reduced to 5 million yuan before tax, and the maximum salary for foreign aid will be reduced from 3 million euros after tax to 3 million euros before tax.At the beginning of 2022, the maximum salary for local players will be reduced to 3 million yuan, while foreign aid will be 2 million euros.

Just as the tulip bubble had to burst in 17th century Holland, the bursting of the golden dollar bubble in the Chinese Super League is nothing new, but such a one-step policy has accelerated the players' panic in a short period of time.

In February 2021, after policies such as limiting salaries and directly eliminating big-name foreign aid, unchanged U23 policy and neutral names, the CSL company sent a termination letter to Sport Olympic Power during its tenure, with the direct consequence of less revenue for the clubs.

In the case of trend formation, no one can change the trend, but at least the trend can be slowed down by a buffer to get a respite and a chance to change. Obviously, the Football Association has chosen a slightly more extreme path to the problem of the golden dollar Super League bubble.

Before and in the middle of each season, Chinese Super League and Chinese League One clubs submit access materials, the most crucial part of which is the players' signatures attesting that the clubs are not in arrears with their wages.

However, there are policies and countermeasures. The approach of difficult families, such as Liaozhu, is to persuade players to sign first, and then give players an IOU to ensure that the team participates in the league. Forced to have no choice, clubs often threaten players shouting: if the club is gone, you will not get a penny.

Since 2020, this model has become a common one, with at least half of the teams in the Premier League resorting to this fraudulent measure to ensure their team's access.

This practice, for some clubs, has really lent a helping hand. What is more dogmatic is that many clubs, knowing that they will not be able to get their wages in the end, still keep on drawing cakes and coaxing players to sign by various means. The end result is that the players sign, insist on playing soccer, and still don't get a dime in wages.

Previously disbanded teams from Jiangsu Suning and Chongqing, including Wuhan Changjiang, which quit this season, are still demanding their back wages.

At the beginning of his term of office, Chen Xuyuan, who had cried out "zero tolerance for unregulated business and unpaid wages", was aware of the situation, but did not have any intervention or punitive measures. All he did was turn a blind eye. When unpaid players @ CFA to solve the problem, they often sink into the sea.

It was only before this season, with the expansion, severity and worsening of wage arrears, that the Football Association for the first time allowed wage arrears but demanded that the players' wages be settled at a set point in time. The most practical problem is that bad debts and bad debts have accumulated over the past two years, and the problem of wage arrears in the Chinese Super League is like a derailed train rushing into a road of no return.

The 2021 AFC Champions League has a tournament system, with the group stage starting on June 24 and the schedule directly colliding with national team training and the Chinese Super League schedule.

After repeated consideration, the Football Association finally decided to suspend the Chinese Super League to ensure that the national team training, the subsequent schedule, is the Chinese Super League to give way to the AFC Champions League.

In the 2022 season, the same plot, another script happened again. This time, without the entanglement of the national team, the Football Association still refused to give way, Shandong Taishan and Guangzhou could only participate in the ladder competition, the final result was 1 draw and 11 losses.

In contrast, in the past two years, both Japan and South Korea have chosen to make way and appropriate fixtures for teams participating in the AFC Champions League.

In two consecutive years of AFC Champions League tragedy, the Chinese Super League has pissed off the AFC. More embarrassingly, the Super League dropped straight from the top three to 16th in the AFC's technical standings, behind India and Iraq.

When Pelan and Lippi were coaches of the national team, they paid special attention to the AFC Champions League. They both thought it was the best opportunity for Chinese players to play against top Asian teams and players, and the value of the exercise was very important. But now, at the club level, it will be a luxury for Chinese players to play against other Asian teams.

While a professional league cannot be established, decisions on issues such as the CFL schedule still need to be decided by the FA. On this issue, Chen Xuyuan and the FA clearly did not do a good job.

Prior to the 2020 season, the CFA proposed a neutral name requirement. Surprisingly, after the season, the CFA strongly announced that all clubs must take immediate action to comply with the neutral name requirement, i.e., club names must not include the names and trade names of the club's shareholders, shareholders' affiliates, or de facto controllers, and must not use harmonies, etc.

During the name change process, famous clubs such as Jianye, Greentown and Taida directly disappeared from the history of Chinese soccer. However, Chen Xuyuan's old boss Shanghai SIPG changed its name to "Shanghai Port", which caused dissatisfaction and protests from the fans.

Another big mystery of Chen Xuyuan's tenure is the fact that the credibility of the FA has declined time and time again due to the adjustment fee. As we all know, of the 1.7 billion dollars in adjustment fees paid by many furniture music departments, only Shanghai has not paid.

This naturally raised questions about Chen Xuyuan taking care of his old boss. When many clubs are in trouble, the adjustment fee of the Football Association simply did not take out to save the emergency, of which Tianjin Tianhai did not get a penny to save the emergency until the exit.

The Tossing Years:It's hard to get back on track when the Super League is off the rails

A careful review reveals that some key issues were not resolved when Chen Xuyuan was the CFA president. For example, the long-awaited Chinese Super League has not been established for nearly four years, which means that the "management and separation" of the CFA is just empty talk.

However, it should also be seen that the Chinese Super League home and away is difficult to implement, the audience can not be admitted, the club is in trouble due to the parent company's business problems, mainly due to the epidemic and other objective reasons. It has little to do with the CFA or Chen Xuyuan.

The league is the foundation and top priority of a country's soccer development. The FA, as a manager and service role, should not only make the right guidance and planning, but more importantly, not to mess around.
