Mbappe was accused of a rape at the hotel where he was staying in Stockholm, Sweden, and Mbappe was identified by his client as the perpetrator.
The rape case is said to have occurred last Thursday local time and was reported by a woman who went to the hospital for treatment last Saturday and claimed to be the victim of a sexual offense and identified Mbappe as the perpetrator of the rape. Police seized evidence including a pair of black pants, a blouse and a pair of underwear at the hotel after the subject reported the incident.
Mbappe initially denied the allegations on social media and also implied that it was Paris that was throwing dirt on him. As of now, neither the police nor the prosecutor have revealed any more information about the suspect or the progress of the investigation into the case. Prosecutor Marina Chirakova confirmed that a rape had been reported, but did not reveal who was involved.
