Fiorentina midfielder Adli delved into his decision to reject a call-up to the Algerian national team in an interview with anchor Zack Nani. Adli began by expressing his respect for French midfielders Kante and Pogba, mentioning that Kante is nearing the end of his career, while Pogba is an outstanding player who, despite the current difficulties, remains hopeful that Pogba will return to his best form and believes that he is one of the best midfielders in France.
Speaking about his choice of national team, Adli said that he had played in all the French youth teams and considered the French national team A as his "Holy Grail". He mentioned that Morocco started recruiting early and Algeria made some moves, but he never wavered in his desire to play for the French national team. Adeli emphasized that he was not belittling Algeria's level, but that his decision was based on his own career and family considerations. He has high respect for Algeria and even had an in-depth conversation with former Algerian manager Belmadi, but ultimately decided to close the door to the Algerian national team because he did not want to fall into the "alternative" mode. Adli admits that his goal is the A team of the French national team, but if he fails to achieve it, he will accept his fate, because he has done his best.
