Former Atletico Madrid scouting department member Javier Vidales spoke highly of Omorodion during his time with Granada B in a recent interview and looked ahead to a brilliant future.
Bidales recalls that at the time, Omorodion had already made a name for himself in Spanish football, attracting the attention of the entire country. Although he wasn't directly involved in Omorodion's transfer to Atlético Madrid, he witnessed Omorodion's teammate Miguel Serra in action, often delivering pinpoint passes for Omorodion in the last 30 meters. Vidales is convinced that Omorodion will be the next "No. 9" striker for the Spanish national team and will occupy this important position for the next decade and beyond. He even predicts that Omorodion will almost certainly play in future World Cups, injecting a powerful attacking force into the Spanish team.
Speaking about Omorodion's skills on the ball, Bidales said that people tend to focus on his physical attributes, but in reality he is much more than that. Omorodion is not only a strong striker, able to control the ball with his back to the goal and pass it to his teammates, but he is also very intelligent, with excellent tactical awareness and game-reading skills. In the game, he seems to play the role of two strikers, both as a pivot to keep the defense busy and as a player who can be flexible enough to find space. This all-round ability makes him invincible on the pitch.
As for Omorodion's future, Bidales sees him as promising and full of desire to win. He comes from a humble family and is very eager to learn and improve. With his excellent style of play and consistent appearances in the Portuguese league and the Champions League, Porto is the perfect platform for Omorodion to grow. Vidales is confident that under Porto's hammer, Omorodion will quickly develop into a world-class striker who will contribute to the glorious future of Spanish soccer.
