BEIJING, Feb. 6, Turkey-Syria Earthquake - A very sad news has come that 45-year-old former Syrian international Nadir Jouhdar and his son Taji have died in the northern Syrian city of Jabalay. Nadir Jouhdar played against China in the 1996 Asian Cup.
The Turkish-Syrian border was hit by two consecutive earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8, and the two countries suffered serious disasters. Many athletes were lost.
Now for the bad news. 45 year old former Syrian international Nadir Jouhdar and his son Taji have sadly passed away. Jouhdar was born on October 19, 1977 and played as a striker on the pitch. He played soccer for 12 years with West Asian clubs and was selected for the Syrian national team from 1995-1997 for the 1996 Asian Cup. Jouhdar played 14 matches for Syria and scored 9 goals, which shows that the goal scoring efficiency was also quite high.
