BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the preparatory team of the Chinese Football League (CFL) are discussing the possibility of relocating to a different city and may allow it, according to Football Daily.
Soccer Daily says that the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the Preparatory Group of the Chinese Football Confederation (CFC) are discussing the possibility of remote relocation and possibly allowing it. However, the discussed remote relocation is not completely liberalized: firstly, remote relocation is prohibited in the Chinese Super League; secondly, remote relocation is ready to be opened to A and B, but relatively strict conditions will be set.
Unlike neutral names, which have been subject to significant criticism, the policy of banning off-site relocation has gone virtually unchallenged, especially at the fan level. However, at the club level, the call for relocation is actually higher because of the difficult living conditions for clubs and the lack of substantial support in some areas. It is worth noting that there are almost no voices of relocation from the Chinese Super League clubs, but there are relatively high voices of relocation from the Chinese League One and Chinese League Two clubs.
Considering the current situation of China A and China B clubs, the CFA and the CFL Preparatory Group intend to restart the relocation of the second and third tiers of the professional leagues, but there are still many limitations: for example, "relocation with illness" is not allowed. That is to say, a club that intends to relocate must not be in arrears in the payment of wages and meet the requirements under other conditions of access; in addition, a club that relocates to a different place is not allowed to relocate twice for a long time after the completion of the relocation.
