Wuhan Yangtze River Football Club officially announced its dissolution on January 25th, Beijing time, and will no longer be registered to participate in men's professional soccer matches organized by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) in the future.

Wuhan Changjiang formerly known as Hubei Green, founded in 2009, was a newly registered club by the Hubei Football Association after Wuhan Guanggu withdrew from the Chinese Super League in 2008.In 2011, Wuhan Zall entered the club, and Wuhan and Wuhan Changjiang were used in succession in the era of neutral naming in the Chinese Super League. Wuhan Changjiang was relegated to the Central League A after finishing in the bottom three in the 2022 season of the Chinese Super League.

On the evening of January 25, the club released a statement saying that it would no longer participate in the Men's Soccer League. The statement reads as follows:
