On the evening of the 20th, the Chinese Football Association announced a new phase of the Chinese women's football training list. Eight overseas players, including Wang Shuang, Zhang Linyan and Shen Mengyu, were selected, and Chen Qiaozhu, a player from Guangdong Meizhou Hakka, was also on the list. On the 26th of this month (the fifth day of New Year's Day), the team will train at the Guangzhou Football Club training base and go to Spain on February 10th for a warm-up match.

A total of 34 players were named to the training roster, 26 of whom play for domestic teams and seven for Wuhan Cheguang Jiangda FC, the international team that contributed the most. Guangdong clubs contributed one for Meizhou Hakka defender Chen Qiaozhu. Wu Haiyan, Wang Shanshan, Zhang Rui, Lou Jiahui, Gu Yasha and Yao Lingwei are among the names on the list. Eight players are "studying abroad" players.

It is understood that Wang Shuang and Tang Jiali will participate in the training of the Guangzhou team, and the remaining six players will go directly to Spain for the second phase of overseas training.

In 2023, the Chinese women's soccer team faces many challenges. 2023 Women's World Cup, Hangzhou Asian Games, Paris Olympic qualification are hard battles. Coach Shui Qingxia recently said in an interview that this year's tournament is a heavy task and the team's training requirements will be stricter. China's women's soccer team will travel to Spain on February 10 and will have four warm-up matches in February, against Real Betis Women's Soccer in Spain on February 14, Sweden Women's Soccer on February 16, Vivar Athletic Women's Soccer in Spain on February 19, and Ireland Women's Soccer on February 22nd. In this year's Women's World Cup, China will be in the same group as the England women's soccer team and the Denmark women's soccer team, so the warm-up matches are against very targeted opponents.
