BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- In preparation for the 2023 Women's World Cup, Hangzhou Asian Games and Paris Olympics qualification, China's women's soccer team announced on Jan. 20 that eight overseas players, including Wang Frost, have been selected for the training list.
According to the notice, the Chinese women's soccer team will train in Guangzhou on January 26th and travel to Spain on February 10th for a warm-up match. Head coach Shui Qingxia recruited 34 players, 28 of whom will gather in Guangzhou. Jiangsu Women's Soccer and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank for Louisville Athletic Women's Soccer Wang Frost and Madrid CFF's Tang Jiali made the cut. Six other overseas players, including Li Mengwen and Zhang Linyan, will travel directly to Spain for the warm-up matches.
It is reported that during the period in Spain, the Chinese women's football team plans to hold four warm-up matches: the first against Real Betis women's football team on February 14th, against Sweden women's football team on February 16th, against Vivar women's football team on February 19th, and will be the last match on February 22nd against Ireland women's football team.
