In a recent interview, former Chelsea player Leboeuf gave his opinion on the rumors that Chelsea could sell rising star Palmer. He believes that the Chelsea owners will sell Palmer at some point because that is their business model.
Leboeuf said, "Chelsea signed Palmer for a good price, so my guess is that if they receive an offer of £100 million, they will probably release him. Because that's their business, that's the deal." He further pointed out that if Chelsea don't release the player, it would go against their business model. Considering that Chelsea paid £45 million to sign Palmer in the first place, it would be a fool's errand for them to sell the player for less than £100 million as they would be abandoning their business model.
Leboeuf also criticized the Chelsea owners for only caring about making money and not the club's results. He argued that results are what fans want to see, but all the owners want is money. He even compared Chelsea's executives to those of Manchester United and Liverpool, arguing that they are all the same in their pursuit of financial gain.
However, Leboeuf also questioned Real Madrid's possible signing of Palmer. He believes that Real Madrid do not need Palmer as they already have Bellingham. It would be a foolish move for Real Madrid to sign Palmer as they would have to put him on the bench.
