Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The selection of the 2022 China Golden Ball Award was officially launched, and in women's soccer, Wang Shuang led 10 finalists.
Among the 10 candidates are mainly key members of the Asian Cup women's soccer team, including Asian Cup Player of the Year Wang Shanshan, Best Goalkeeper Zhu Yu, Wang Shuang, who scored five goals in four matches, as well as Tang Jiali, Zhang Linyan and Xiao Yuyi.
In addition, Shen Mengyu, a young man who studied abroad, also made the shortlist of candidates once again, including 00-year-old Wang Linlin, as well as Zhang Rui and Wang Xiaoxue, who were consistent performers throughout the year.
