The notice requires the authorized persons of the clubs to submit the latest repayment certificates to the CFA staff before 6 January next year, so that the CFA can scrutinize the relevant materials submitted by the clubs.
In order to control the various chaotic phenomena plaguing domestic professional soccer, especially to combat and curb clubs' wage arrears, the CFA issued a notice on April 2 this year on the work related to the 2022 Chinese Super League, Chinese League A and Chinese League B, requiring professional soccer clubs to resolve all historical wage arrears before December 31 this year. Prior to that, the CFA, through official channels on November 5 and 23, penalized the Chinese Super League clubs Hebei FC, Wuhan Changjiang FC, Shanghai Shenhua FC, the Chinese First Division clubs Sichuan Niujiu FC, Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic FC, Heilongjiang Bingcheng FC, Jiangxi Beimen FC, and the Chinese Second Division club Hunan Xiangtao FC, which had failed to pay back the outstanding wages proportionally overdue, with different levels of points deduction. Hebei FC and Changjiang FC had their league points deducted for the second consecutive time. According to the fines, if the defaulting clubs are unable to repay all the outstanding wages on December 31 this year, they will certainly be relegated or disqualified from the access qualification.
It is worth noting that, due to objective factors, this season's Chinese Super League did not end until December 31 this year, the new season schedule, match system and other specific arrangements have not yet been introduced.
