At the recent Barcelona General Meeting, FC Barcelona Vice President Yuste delivered a moving speech, in which he first expressed his deep remembrance of Neskens, a legendary figure in Barcelona's history, and spoke highly of the club's current workforce.
Yuste began his speech by fondly remembering Neskens, a hero who made great achievements for Barcelona: "Before I begin, allow me to remember Neskens, a figure who left an indelible mark on the history of Barcelona. We are deeply saddened by his loss, but his spirit will always inspire us. Next Monday, we will have the honor of attending his funeral with Manuel Asensi. I would like to ask everyone here to send a warm round of applause for this hero of our club to show our admiration and remembrance of him."
Yuste then turned the conversation to the club's current workforce, thanking in particular the likes of Alejandro Echevarría, Aleksanko and Bojan for their outstanding contribution to youth training: "Since the first day of our return we have worked to rejuvenate La Masia. Thanks to Alejandro Echevarría, who introduced me to our technical secretary, a very humble man who is doing an excellent job. Likewise, I would like to thank Aleksanko, who is in charge of youth soccer and is developing a lot of great talent for the future of the club. And Bojan, who is becoming a great mentor for these young players, whose hard work and dedication gives us hope for the future of Barcelona."
Yuste also mentioned the success of the club's management in terms of reinforcements and operations: "This has not been a good year, but by working together we can return to the glory we once had. Begiristain reminds me of Deco because they both speak the language of soccer and have a deep understanding and love of it. It is not luck or coincidence that the achievements we have seen are the result of the hard work of the club's management. I would also like to give a special thanks to Sergi Baljuan, who is making a huge contribution to taking our club global."
Before Deco gave his speech, Yost also revealed an interesting detail, "Deco suggested that we sign Frick, who is a hard-working and humble man. His arrival will inject new energy and tactical ideas into our team."
