Speaking on the issue of low participation in the General Assembly, Elena said the Board of Directors is well aware that BASA still belongs to all members and will remain steadfast in its commitment to the membership. She pointed out that the low participation in the General Assembly is a challenge that needs to change and revealed that bylaws reforms are being considered to ensure that members of all social conditions and genders are represented. Laporta echoed this sentiment and hoped that at the next Ordinary General Assembly, a situation where a few hundred people represent more than 100,000 members would be avoided.
