In the documentary Barça One crafted for Garvey, the young midfielder talks in detail for the first time about his recovery from a knee injury, the challenges he faced and his inner feelings during the process.

Garvey was candid: "The moment I realized I had a knee injury, I knew it was going to be a tough ride. You start thinking about the future of the season and the pain that is coming your way. But even so, there was only one thought in my mind - to play soccer. It's been really hard, but I try my best to be in the best frame of mind I can."

He further emphasized his resilience and constancy, "No matter what the odds are, no matter how bad the injuries are, I will remain my old self. It's part of my character and I won't change myself because of external changes."

Speaking about the first piece of advice he received, Garvey was especially grateful for Coach Harvey's support, "Coach Harvey kept me calm by telling me that he had gone through a similar injury and ended up getting stronger. That gave me a lot of comfort and confidence. Also, I am very thankful for the support of my teammates, without whom I may not have been able to get through this difficult time so well."

Recalling the day of the surgery, Garvey still remembers it vividly, "I had surgery very early that day, the first of the day. I barely slept and woke up in severe pain, the kind of pain that made me feel so helpless."

However, when it came to returning to the Ciutat Esportiva (Barcelona Sporting City) for the first time since the surgery, a smile appeared on Garvey's face, "I was very happy on that day because I was finally able to be with my teammates. After weeks of recuperating at home, I was eager to get back on the pitch and play alongside them."

Dr. Pruner also praised Garvey's calmness and honesty: "The player was very calm, which surprised me. He even volunteered to look at his meniscus and told me he thought he had torn it as well. He's a very honest person who is always upfront and speaks his mind."
