In the 8th round of the English Premier League, Fulham defeated Aston Villa 1-3. After the match, Fulham manager Marco Silva was interviewed and gave an in-depth analysis of the match.

Marco Silva began by pointing out that Fulham knew from the start that Villa would prevent them from organizing attacks from the back. As a result, Fulham had to approach the game differently and adopt a mixed style of play to deal with it. During the match, Fulham did try to create a threat by hitting the opponent behind the ball and also scored. However, unfortunately, Villa equalized soon after Fulham's goal.

Marco Silva admitted that it wasn't Fulham's best performance. He mentioned several unfavorable factors that led to the loss, including the oval, the set-piece conceded and the penalties conceded. He believes that while Fulham did well in certain areas, it wasn't their best in terms of overall performance.

Speaking about the penalty conceded, Marco Silva said that he sensed that the team was a bit nervous and didn't play as well as they should have. Despite the adjustments they made at halftime, they ended up conceding the goal. He emphasized that the red card and the oval were moments that had an impact on the game against Fulham and in favor of Villa.

Speaking about the performance of Raul Jimenez, Marco Silva gave praise. He said that Jiménez worked hard on the field but since he played almost the full 90 minutes for Mexico last Wednesday, he needed to be protected a little bit when he came back in order for him to play at his level. Marco Silva revealed that he would have liked to protect Jimenez in the final minutes of the game but unfortunately could not.
