Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The 2022 season of the Central League ended with a number of records being broken this season, according to Football Daily.

Kunshan won the season's championship by breaking two records, averaging 2.62 points per game, a record of 2.375 points per game set by Guangzhou Evergrande in 2010. The team also achieved 28 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss, and their 89 points broke the record of 79 points set by Wuhan Sanzhen last season. In addition, Guangxi Pingguo Hahong collected 17 draws in 34 league games this season, which is also a record for draws in the Central League and China Professional League.

Notably, Xinjiang Tianshan Snow Leopard were relegated for the fourth time in five years. They have been relegated three times before and ended up back in the Central League due to the constant withdrawal of teams from the Chinese Super League and Central League One. Considering the current wage arrears in the Chinese Super League and Central League A teams, the possibility of Xinjiang returning to Central League A for a fourth time cannot be ruled out.
